a possible beneficiary of the election: DBD - Diebold - is probably the leading US manufacturer of computer voting systems. I suspect that the computer systems worked well in 2004 and should give a big boost for future adaption. no present position, just an interest.
other: drugs are going to have a sharp snap back rally. MRK in upper 20's is cheap, though likely to get cheaper before any sustained recover. too many lawyer sharks sniffing around the vioxx debacle and unclear limits on liability. besides, MRK is a hugely owned institutional stock. if the biggies are selling, or have been selling, where is the buying going to come from. Ron flipping a few K shares isn't going to do it. ggg. larry
