We have had a long history of ignoring and mollycoddling, even, Islamist terrorism, a sorry history that began with Carter.

Foreign policy?

Lets speak plainly. Substitute "foreign policy" with "Energy policy".

It is a perception Bush is attempting to change because, for better or worse, the conduct of a foreign policy is ultimately the management of perceptions. If our responses had matched the aggression we had previously sustained, I doubt that 9/11 would have occurred.

So much speculation, so little basis in reality and no historical foundation either.
