It's "Blossoming Almond Tree" by Vincent Van Gogh and here's a better picture. vangoghgallery.com [I got the name confused] He did several blossoms, and a lot more besides. Good grief he was prolific: vangoghgallery.com Cyberspace is great. Islam isn't. Van Goghs were. Mqurice PS: I'd say the value of that painting just doubled, or more.

I don't think Moslem countries would necessarily use their nuclear bombs. Nor would they necessarily want to give them to Islamic Jihad people, who might cause a LOT of trouble which wouldn't be a good idea for many people. Catholicism and other Christian superstitions were as rabid as Islamic Jihadists are now, but they've moderated as they've been separated from state power and relegated to a club with their own ideas on how to live their own lives. Hypocrisy is alive and well in the Christian world and can be in the Moslem world too. They don't have to take the Koran literally and act it out, even though they say they believe it's all true, just as Christians hypocritically say they believe the Bible [contradictions and absurdities notwithstanding] but studiously ignore it in practise. Look at the Pope's edicts on contraception, yet right there in Rome, they manage to keep the birth rate below replacement levels. It must be the immaculate conception in reverse - they had a virgin birth, now they have sex with no births. Very tricky people! Life in the Moslem world is like life in the medieval Englishe worlde, with rule by violent kings, the state is the king, with others mere serfs. It's not really surprising that there is lots of dissatisfaction, which comes out in the form of Islamic Jihad. That's much the same path that the democratic countries took over several centuries. Some of the Moslem countries are heading into democratic ways, but they still have a long way to go. Mqurice
