The Republicans are on the defensive in the face of the offensive onslaught of the Democrats. The Democrats have used the common electorate for their offense by having them registered to vote in huge numbers. The Republicans are using lawyers (remember Bush's charge of Edwards being a trial lawyer) to prevent the voters from voting by throwing up challenges to their voting rights eligibility.

The lines here are longer than normal, but not stunningly so (OC in California). My area is strongly Republican and I expect record turnout. It is nothing like what we are hearing from the battleground states.
