If we attacked before having the new troops deployed and ready we would have had a very similar situation to what actually happened. If we waited for a huge invasion to be ready it would have given bin Laden a lot more time to hide or escape. Surrounding an entire mountain range requires a lot of soldiers and can cause difficult supply situations in a place like Afghanistan even for a country like the US.

You are making stuff up, unless you are an expert on mountain battle tactics. The point is we went the wrong way, for whatever personal reason Bush had. We should have done everything in our power to follow and get him and the rest of the al Qaeda leadership.
