Hope not. Move on.org folks will be leading it if it happens and michael moore will be filming it. Bush 2nd term will have to moderate some to have any chance of being effective and healing the wounds. I think iraq will get more troops, liberated faluja et al, elections and an end date on or about the same time. mike

particularly in the West Coast, where Bush is irrationally hated

Hated? Or deplored?

Most folks I know, conservative and liberal alike, deplore Bush (and his merry band) for their poor decisions and ideological leanings (not to mention ideological new ground they are walking on).

Deplore is a better word, IMO.

No one I hang out with is irrational about their opinions re Bush. To the contrary they are in general extremely well equipped with knowledge.

I was kind of wondering the same thing myself. Since Bush has already wrapped up most of the loose ends in Iraq & Afghanistan, there would be no grave concern if Kerry were to win. However, the backlash from the left if Bush wins will be so strong that it is almost scary. Nothing could be worse than a chad recount like we had last election. I truly hope the Democrats are willing to support 4 more years of Bush as I am prepared to accept 4 years of Kerry. It is sad to see such a huge absence of class and respect in these elections.
