Ford did the right thing for the country in pardoning nixon

I used to feel this way, but have swung around hard since then. Chief executives - the country or any business - need to know they will be held to a higher standard of accountability. What Nixon did was wrong.

I'm no big fan of Bill Clinton but what was done to him was every bit as damaging to the country as not pardoning Nixon would have been.

It would be better that a high standard of conduct were very evenly applied, if not ruthlessly applied, IMO.
