I agree with you that the whole thing felt like a
scam. Too many things went on in there that lacked
credibility....
First, when I got to Asbury Church and got the
runaround, the guy told me that I wasn't in that
district and couldn't vote there. There was no
convincing him. Then, after I went home, and called
the election place downtown, and came BACK to the same
man, he simply said, OK sorry about all the
trouble..Then the lady didn't even ask me to show
proof of my ssn....THEN, there was a man who had been
ahead of me in the crazy, fat guy's line who wasn't
even registered to vote, and he just bitched and
moaned and they let him vote anyway. It all seemed
pretty fishy to me...not the least bit efficient or
legal for that matter.
