Good points. I have to admit, I am somewhat skeptical that "a proud farmer" from Rosia Montana would be interested in Silicon Investor forums and bother to post here. What interest does he have in what the stock price does at this point, or whether or not we buy or sell? It might have been an issue when Gabriel was shorter on cash and needed to do a financing, but not now. Also, the timing is quite interesting... occurring on a day that the gold price took a big drop and people are in a jittery mood. I can also imagine in my mind one of the former contributors to this forum, who has been noticeably absent recently, perhaps making up such a post for his own amusement if nothing else. The drama and style of the note certainly seems almost familiar.

Well, I've sent a note to Gabriel to get more information on whether or not they are forced to purchase the land "at any price". My impression is that the local government backs the project and has the authority to set parameters related to the purchases and relocation, thereby ensuring that nothing unreasonable will occur, but I don't have anything definitive on that at this point. There were problems related to getting through the purchasing and relocation, but my impression also was that this was due to questionable ownership titles and the fact that people were splitting titles into two to get extra compensation. Anyway, I'll report in the morning.
