No Pholding Phil this year

powerline blog

Jim Bunning, star pitcher for the Pholding Phillies 40 years ago, is now leading in Kentucky 51-49, and the margin is about 20,000 votes, with 99 percent of the vote counted. If Bunning holds on, the Republicans should hold the Senate because the Dems will seemingly be limited to taking three seats now held by the Republicans (Illinois, which they already captured, and Alaska and Colorado). The Republicans have already picked up two seats (Georgia and North Carolina) and have decent to good shots in North Carolina, Florida, Louisiana, and South Dakota.
