Tim,

I think to the country, Rudy is like a war hero, which probably transcends a lot of his moderate views on social issues. Anyway, it is not like the Democrats are going to nominate anyone that would be more appealing to social conservatives...

Leadership & integrity. I'm basically pro-choice and I think he has shown some true leadership -- not only after 9/11, but he really brought NYC back from the depths. I do think he is personable, as well. And I think it would be really difficult for the Left to have huge issues with him, which should give him the ability to get stuff done.

I think terrorism will still be an issue by then, and he'll definitely show strength in that area. Aside from that, truthfully, the big issue in my mind is going to be SS. I can't imagine he won't have a strong position on shoring it up.

I do find the guy to be particularly likeable. Of course, he may not even run -- but it seems to me he is clearly considering it ...
