Karl Rove might have the REPUBLICANS EDGE TOWARD THE CENter to help create a Republican majority. If they do that, and can score soem gains in the 2006 elections...they will be much closer to their ideological goals.

They may need to reign in the neocons and some supply-siders.

>>> doubt that this Bush win will change any minds among those of us who strongly oppose the ideology and/or the policies of the Bush Administration. I imagine that the battle lines will remain locked and that we are in for another four turbulent years. <<<

Doubt that things would have changed for us either if Kerry had won. We would have strongly opposed his views and the country will continue to be divided regardless of who's in office.

As long as class envy exists, you'll have a divided nation. As long as one class of people think its ok for another class of people to pay a larger percentage of their income in taxes, you'll have a divided nation. As long as one class of people serve in our military and another doesn't, you'll have a divided nation.

A republican president, a republican senate and a republican house. Now let's see what he can do. Shouldn't be too many excuses now. Put up or shut up time.

BTW, a 4 million vote in favor of Bush isn't a small number, especially when you consider he didn't have the poplular vote last time. He also received the most votes in history. No excuses this time, the people showed up.
