"may sound corny, but everybody I talked to at the Y this morning (seniors, esp) prayed big time for the president, as did I...we, the silent majority...we get it done quietly..ssshhhhh"

Not corny at all. Prayer and God played a very strong hand in this election despite what the media may try to tell us. Will anyone listen to the media any longer anyway after Rathergate and this exit pollster mess? Well...maybe a few like Lizzie.

Speaking of seniors, they tend to be very conservative and more are joining their ranks as we all age. The Decocratic Party and MTV can go after the kids, but they typically don't vote and the demographics are not on their side as our population ages. Unless the Democratic Party makes a significant shift to the center and ditch thier radical leadership, they will continue to lose ground.
