Chicago has retained the punch card system. Politically active people say the democrats prepare punch cards in advance, give them to people whose vote they buy with money or booze or whatever. The person takes the prepared punch card into the booth with him and votes it, bringing the unpunched card he was given at the polling place out with him. He must then present the unpunched card to his handlers in order to get paid.

My wife and a couple of her buddies decided to be democrat poll watchers so they went to the training meeting. The room was full of big, gruff, union thugs who made them leave.
