I think the youth vote showed...and a lot of them voted for Bush....


I think the breakout of the youth vote will not be as anti-Bush as predicted, but it did not "turn out." Same old 17% of the total voted. They never show up.

At a Clemson game last weekend there were a lot of 'Clemson is Bush Country' pins and stickers. It has a huge engineering college so its no bastion of the liberal arts, but their are lots of liberal arts colleges in the vicinity.

My son and his floor mates got tired of all the Kerry folks from off-campus harassing them so they started messing with them. The single line that infuriated them the most when asked why they would vote for Bush was 'I think he is funny'.

They had fall break the last 2 days and everyone cleared out and went home and voted. He doesn't know anyone who voted for Kerry.
