In America inflation is defined as rising prices for things people buy. But higher prices for owned assets such as stocks and real estate are seen as creating "wealth."

Still not sure why Kerry didn't harp on it a little more. Maybe he truly is a clueless as Bush, Greenspan and the rest of Congress. Rubin could have been our savior but by 2006 it will be too late.
