China is growing at 9% GDP, they have 3 times as many people and nuclear weapons. They're beating us on manufacturing and eating up steel and concrete which is affecting our ability to build things here. India, also a nuclear power, has even more people and is the new favored destination of high tech R&D. Ooops! 2005: This could be the peak production year for worldwide oil. After that, annual production actually starts to decline. Yucca Mountain: Where will 24,000 train loads of incredibly filthy (in terms of dirty bombs) nuclear waste criss crossing the USA end up? Perpetual war. That's what the 51% of the USA has voted for.
