And to belittle some folks in the process. Seems like it would be like calling gays "flamers" or somthing to that effect. I might be wrong, but it seems that way to me.

"The flamers really came out for Kerry" instead of "Kerry gets most of the gay vote" for instance.

Seems like they could say Christians or "people with religious beliefs" instead of "evangelicals".

JP had some interesting thoughts on this, and it does not seem to offend him. Not being an evangelical I can't asy whether I would be offended, but it seemed offensive the way they were using it.
