Diebold may indeed have rigged Ohio. They controlled 800,000 votes and the by late afternoon election day, Kerry was ahead according to the exit polls. Diebold and GOP operatives were seen in at least one major precinct counting office the night of the election. That is illegal. By the end of the evening Bush spurted ahead by 110,000 votes. Highly unlikely whatever happened was fair and legal.

On top of the Diebold scandals, now confirmed by a whistleblower who has come forward from inside Diebold, conservative Chris Hitchens investigated and found at least 35,000 Kerry votes were supressed through smaller waves of dirty tricks and deliberate snarl-ups. Some black and college student precincts had 8-hour lines to vote. Every conservative precinct in Ohio had no wait at all. Because the GOP in Ohio deliberately limited voting machines to pro-Kerry districts. Also, thousands of black voters received anonymous leters the day before the voting saying they were not registered. The cheating was real and widespread.
