Women have not traditionally had the experience to allow them to pursue it. Yes, there have been a few women as governors. As we know, Senators don't make good candidates (because, like Kerry, they must spend the entire campaign running from their Senate records).

Hell, I'd vote for Condi Rice -- she clearly has the skillset for the job. It would not amaze me at all for her to be a candidate some day. (I wonder if the Left would still be levelling these discrimination charges at the republicans THEN)...
