Or as 60-minutes put it in a tongue in cheek way tonight, we could divide the country into Blue and Red states via a Berlin style wall. The Blue states can have the first amendment and do away with the second, while the red states can have the second amendment and do away with the first. Here is the thing, what goes on between consenting adults, be it on individual level or organizational level, should not concern others. Where one party's freedom infringes upon another group's, the courts get to decide the balancing act (but not remove one's right entirely). BTW, why is it that middle America should get to impose its "anti-urban" values on some other Americans, who after all being American have a lot more in common, but some Arab will not get to do the same? It seems to me, that if middle America gets to feel so disenfranchised and angry with some of its own country men who after all speak the same language and share the same history, then a middle easterner is justified to get an order of magnitude angrier. ...just a thought, ST
