thanks, KLP.

I've said this before.
I researched Kerry's background during the primaries.
I didn't like what I saw one bit.
I started with the 1971 senate testimony, winter soldier
investigation, trip(s) to Paris, and the medal throwing
event.

I read the Boston Globe series. I saw that he wanted
to be president since he was a teenager.

I read about how he changed from war hero to war protestor
as an image during his first attempts at public office. I saw the cover of his book The New Soldier." I read about his
dad and the "internationalist" views they both shared, including the idea that our troops should not be dispersed except at the direction of the UN.

I saw that he left his first wife when she was having essentially a nervous breakdown, and that between rich wives
he relied on rich contributors for a place to live.

I then saw an undistinguished senate career and a
too close association with Ted Kennedy. Add in MA
liberal, his nickname of "Live Shot" and his attitude
which was simultaneously stiff and arrogant---well....

But the central thing that turned me off was the manner
in which he protested Vietnam. He hung out with thugs and
frauds and willingly participated. Then spent years spinning himself.

After he became the nominee, he did nothing to instill
any confidence in me. All that talk about "plans". As far
as I was concerned he and his party dropped the rhetoric of the campaign to an unprecedented low. And that, during a
time of war. Just more aid and comfort to the enemy.
to such a low level
