Interesting.

The first thing that struck me is the excessive and totally misplaced emphasis on the Electoral College versus the popular vote -- as if to say an explanation of why the former trumps the latter was even necessary.

Unlike 2000, where such an explanation of our Constitutional system was appropriate, yesterday President Bush won both the electoral college and the popular vote, too -- by 3.5 million votes. Bush won 51% to 48%. The first majority winner in 16 years.

Even the French should understand that simple concept.

Without any explanation of the Electoral College and our advanced Constitutional system to protect minority states necessary.

Why are people trying to confuse the issue?

My hunch? To discredit Bush, despite his unequivocal victory.
