Like I said long ago, you do what you have to do with what you have to work with. There are over 10,000 ammo dumps in Iraq, not to mention much buried in the sands. Had we sent enough forces over there to guard it all we would have had no one left. Our MAIN objective was to topple the Saddam and Baathists Govt. That objective was accomplished. Did we expect more support from the people OF COURSE, did we fail to realize the extent of the terrorist activity, OF COURSE, but the fact remains, we accomplished our main objective, we now are adapting to the secondary and in some cases new objectives, we will accomplish them. Just GIVE US THE SUPPORT our troops DESERVE and be PATIENT. Rome wasnt built in a day, and the new DEMOCRATIC IRAQI GOVERNMENT also will not be built in a day, BUT, its happening. Dont screw up the program as was done in Vietnam by failure to support THE OBJECTIVE. jdn
