but before hitting the "submit" button, I cut and pasted the post to the notepad on my desktop and then deleted it
LOL-
My nasty deleted posts would fill a book. I keep some that I think are brilliantly written, though usually when I reread them later, while they may be somewhat more literary or grammatical than most of the angry posts spewed around SI, they are still nasty and useless.
So, as usual, you did the wise, Crocky thing.

My mother had a corollary to Thumper's Mom's saying:
It's just as wicked to repeat ugliness others have said as it is to say it yourself.

Speaking of kindness--
I was just looking at the scattershot posts of my morning and thought how I wouldn't post these thoughts anywhere else, knowing someone would pick on something that wasn't even the point of the post to slam me on, but do so here because DAR has inexplicably stayed such a kind place.

I did not feel kind Tues night surrounded by 300 elementary aged children. I wanted to smack and kick them. It was not a nice reaction at all. Shrill, pushy, wiggly, with tiny brains just beginning to function, they milled around the stage. It was like standing in a sea of three foot caterpillars all dancing on their ends.
Then they all stood still and sang a song called One World with these sweet, pure little faces and clear voices, and I wept.
Sadly, the song ended and they became screaming caterpillars again.

I was raised according to the Thumper's Mother Philosophy.. "If you can't say something nice,

tell me first....
