Canada is a trash pit. The leftists there are gutting business with taxes and, correspondingly, the tax base is dwindling. Unemployment is swelling. So you have a population of unemployed babies who are increasingly dependent upon the government for life and sustenance. Yields and his ilk are the natural result of this mess. Canada has never produced anything of note. And they never will unless they trash their government and get some decent folks in there for a change.

That data in the chart is 3 years old...
The govt. debt is down to $500B since then and continuing to fall. Notice that it peaked at 1995. I stand corrected that the Fed. govt. has been running surpluses for the past 9 years (not 7).

US federal debt is now 7 Trillion...and growing at a rate of close to 10% annually.

On a per-capita basis, that's almost 50% greater than Canadian debt.
