You still aren't getting it are you? It's PROPAGANDA, stupid. It's what it takes to WIN. Take a page from Karl Rove who is probably the biggest political genius since Clinton. He got out the vote, he roped in Diebold's CEO, he infested churches, he lied about Kerry banning bibles, he roped in McCain, he financed SwiftBoat Scumbags....HE WON. THIS IS WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN. This is reality. If Clinton had been running, he would have won. It's the PROPAGANDA, it's the SOUNDBITE, it's the EMOTION. People are frightened and want a safe harbor. The right-wing Republicans cynically give them what they crave. They don't give one nickle for the plight of the constituency they manipulate. They do it TO WIN. WINNING IS EVERYTHING because you can't govern if you can't win.
