All we need is the soft center to move. This soft center doesn't read the NYTimes or the Guardian or the WPost. They don't even know they exist. They don't read web blogs or read The Nation or TNR or Salon. They DO listen to talk radio all day long, watch the morning shows, watch cable and the comedy shows. They won't be educated by the web. They can be moved off kilter by propaganda. Is it a LIE to say that Bush will eliminate Social Security? No. Bush has always hated Social Security and it's possible to forecast a case that he will eliminate it piece by piece. Has Bush said he will eliminate Social Security in public and on the record? Of course not but that doesn't make the forecast of his future work a lie. Is it a LIE to say that Laura Bush murdered her boyfriend? She ran a stop sign, just happened to run into HIS CAR and killed him. Is she a murderer? She is in my mind although she was never indicted or even given a ticket for a moving violation. Is it a lie to say that God hates Bush? Not in my book. Is it a lie to say that Kerry will ban the Bible? Absolutely.
