The Democrats simply have to find a base and energize it .....

.......... No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Traditional Democrats were slow to warm to Kerry. This is odd to me. I have been a fan of his for years and years. But I was really baffled by his total effort to work the center and not find the base and energize it. I'm not looking for a radical. Just not another centrist, self-centered Clinton-type.

This talk of Hillary makes me puke. She's an ass.

The Democratic Party need imaginative leadership. Do you realize Barack Obama went to 18 States campaigning for Democratic candidates following his awesome Keynote Speech at the Democratic convention. He's certainly on the way to a leadership position. He first has to spend some time working as a Senator. The Senate can be "hard work." Hell, it might be as "hard work" as that done by a asinine President.

Nothing should help energize a redefined Democratic Party with new Democratic leadership more than the almost certain attempt by Bush to claim a mandate, attempt to carry through with his stupid social agenda, nominate a neanderthal to replace Rehnquist, and continue to "distract" the terrorists with the ludicrous quagmire in Iraq.

The only good thing about this election is that I will still have Bush to kick around. I might even have to write a book. In the meantime, this thread is going to be my home for my insane musings. I've lost interest in that "John Kerry for President" thread. Too many wingnuts proclaiming victory and rubbing it in. It would be nice, though, if we made this thread moderated and had a requirement for intelligence. Of course, I am the arbiter of intelligence, as well as all matters of fashion and style.
