I see there was a typo in my post. It was after midnight, sorry. This clarifies it:

~Bush won by the narrowest victory of any sitting president since Woodrow Wilson in 1916.

~By percentage, Bush's victory was the narrowest for any wartime incumbent president in U.S. history.

~That while it's true that Bush had more people vote for him than any president in history, it's also true that Kerry had more people vote for him than any president in history, and that Bush had more people vote against him than any president in history.

~A Gallup poll conducted just after the election found that 63 percent of voters would prefer to see Bush pursue policies that "both parties support" compared to only 30 percent who want Bush to "advance the Republican Party's agenda."

Bush got enough to do what he wants to do, pretty much -- but your characterization of what happened, though it makes you all excited, doesn't accord with the facts.
