I don't think there is any thing wrong with the EC system. The only area which can use improvement to catch up with the time is the practice that winner takes all. But that has to be fixed within each State.

The best defense I can give for EC is "It helps balancing the power between states and federal gov't"
Also give a little more "power" to small states...

When I vote for Senators or cogressperson, does Fedreal Gov't bud in?
Then why State bud in to my vote in Federal figure such as president?
Why state gov't overide MY vote regrading Federal matters?
(This is what EC system really pisses me...)
