In going to war without a legal basis or the backing of traditional U.S. allies

Incorrect on both counts.....

1. Self defense is ALWAYS a legal basis....in fact it is the duty of the President....
2. The US had numerous allies including Britain, a traditional ally....

Apparently, the pinhead lying will continue unabated....

"The 18 months since the launch of the Iraq war, however, have left the country's hard-earned respect and credibility in tatters."

This is because Bush will do what is right, even if those that are being bribed to do wrong disagree. You guys blaming and hating America because we wanted Saddam gone is really rather difficult to fathom. Before we took him out EVERYBODY wanted him out. Now that a repub has done it, you are big saddam fans.

Oh well. History will show it was the correct move, the people in Iraq and the middle east will be better off, there will be less terrorism and GWB will go down in history as a great leader. If successful, maybe the greatest ever.

And all of those results will bother you, I am sure.
