Republicans are going to gloat and bait Democrats for a few more days/weeks/months. They are going to post lots of silly "justifications" that are really just variations of "see, we won, therefore we are right in all of our views" or maybe "cheater's proof...cheater's proof" chants might be more applicable.

I even read, from a very conservative forum, their response to the election today that tried to say the reasons the Republicans won was that the Democratic party was the party of "the rich and the elite". My how times have changed. <vbg>

The twisting of reality has been getting a bit thick in the last couple of days. It's not simple enough to say that the Republicans had better turnout or that they won the swing vote. Nope, it's time to blame everything wrong in this world on those loser Democrats!

Cheater's proof...Cheaters proof!!!

I find it interesting to view the Democrates and their pundits reaction.

they fall into 2 camps :

1)The "the people have spoken, there's a message here, let's do something practical" group, like get a candidate like Bill Clinton, have better candidates, move a bit toward the center, try to understand church goers and red states.

James Carville, Willie Brown, many others.

2) We need to communicate our message better to the red states, so the ignorant people fooled by GWB can see it our way. George Bush cheated by lying about Iraq and Al Queada and WMDs. George Busch cheated by talking to The Christian Right. Those stupid red state people are ungrateful for our leadership.

Example :
slate.msn.com

If you get a chance, listen to the liberal "Air America"- they are almost having a cow over this...

I'm a Democrat, I voted for Kerry, and I would be very happy to see the Michael Moore/ Nader wing of the Democratic party take a hike...up to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge...in summer clothes.
