That's what I meant. Foreign currencies and or gold, not direct shorting of US $. I couldn't possibly do that anyway. Was looking at Everbank CD's to park some fairly liquid cash, 5% yield or so, New Zealand $, seems pretty decent too but I'll go over it all this weekend. There is also a 4-currency CD.

But you're Canadian so its easy to park in Canadian $...I'm not even sure how I'd do that, maybe it's easy, this is stuff I've not done before.
