I would not be surprised if Germany joined the coalition if Bush were gone. Even with that, I expect it would be a token effort.....maybe as part of a NATO force.......because so many Germans were against invading Iraq

No way with Schroder in office! Because while doing that he would indirectly admit to what most people understanding Germany know anyway:

That he played the Anti American Card to win the election!!
With the imminent Iraq invasion being a vehicle for that rather than the main cause.


It doesn't matter now......from what we're hearing, all but Italy and the UK will pull out from the coalition next year.
