Border integrity would be a problem. Something would have to be worked out to allow the free flow of people and goods. I think that the US/Canadian border is the longest in the world. Throw in couple thousand miles on each coast, and it would be absolutely impossible to police it, from either direction. We can live with people coming up from the Reds. Can't you live with people coming down from the blues?

Not only that, but- -California? CA went blue ONLY because of San Diego county, LA county, and a strip of counties running along the coast and SF bay from Monterrey uo to Sonoma. Just that small area. Hmmmm.....how many people live in that 'small area'......over 20 million? Two thirds of the population? And don't forget Sacramento county....it went for Kerry as well. CA is bluer than blue. Time for you to move your butt to Texass!
