Right... Québecois are certainly not gung-ho about being "swamped" by, what, 100 million English-speaking Americans... Today, Québec is the most populous Canadian province (6 mil) and enjoys an affluent and sound economy (that is, not just based on ores and crops). If the blue states ever merged with Canada, Québec will be dwarfed by the new provinces (California, NY)...
