Sioux: Those graphs are based on the mid-afternoon exit polls. I saw them around 2:15, 2:30 on election day. The PA poll had an obvious problem. By 6, PA had narrowed in the polls, but still showed Kerry with about an eight point lead, as I recall. The NYT has a piece this morning on a mea culpa given by the pollsters, Joe Lenski and Warren Mitofsky. They said the data was skewed because polltakers could not get near enough to the polls and because Kerry supporters were more open than Bush supporters.
