i have not found wal mart always with lowest prices.. i believe should be aware of prices.. i found medical supplies much cheaper at a local drug chain.. and automotive accessories much cheaper at local parts stores...

That it is. At one time food stores went for a 1% overall profit on what they sold. The profit came from volume. Now they have more gimmicks than the oil and gas companies.

Ie. they now sell shelf space. You want to put your product on the shelf, you rent the space. End of aisles, that's a biggie now. Take say Spam that sells @ $1.99. Move it to the end of an aisle and put it on special for $2.49. Most people don't remember what they paid last week.

It's worth shopping around. One place I go wants $12.99 per for a Porterhouse steak. I go to another store and get them on sale for $6.99 and it's better meat.
