The US House 1999 link I just provided will speak volumes to you about that...But this will as well...if you care to read. state.gov Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons capability is moving it further and further down the path toward international isolation. We cannot let Iran, a leading sponsor of international terrorism, acquire nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them to Europe, most of central Asia and the Middle East, or beyond. Without serious, concerted, immediate intervention by the international community, Iran will be well on the road to doing so.

Why should a nuclear Iran bother US? You surely are being facetious. I hope. here's a short list of the reasons. 1.- A nuclear armed Iran, especially if it acquires intercontinental missiles, will threaten the security of the US, Europe,and Israel. 2.- It will make future resolution of ME peace issues even more difficult to successfully achieve. 3.- The IslamoWacos will be energized; terror may increase as a result. 4.- The Gulf area, and therefore oil supplies, may be destabilized. 5.- Other countries will try to follow suit. 6.- The Mad Mullahs work hand-in-hand with Hizbollah. If the MMs use nukes and Hizbollah terror in concert, their power is immensely increased. 7.- Are the MMs to be trusted to use nukes solely for deterrence? Maybe not. They are not called the Mad Mullahs because they are poster boys for tolerance and reason. I assume your question was rhetorical, not really a serious one. The dangers are immense and easily recognized.
