I'm sure peanuts are good for you, if you aren't allergic, or don't have a sensitivity to nuts in general! The toxic fungus warning was in Africa. And we suffered no ill effects during the period we were blithely scarfing them down by the handful.

Lots of children seem to be life-threateningly allergic to peanuts now, so that in some schools no one is allowed to bring pb&j sandwiches to school any more, it's just too dangerous.

I don't eat peanuts any more because they contain tyramine, which is a migraine-trigger, but when I did I only bought the fresh ground health food store kind, even though what I really liked was the unhealthy, creamy Skippy kind. With lots of butter on the sandwich, too, ummmmm.

Everything I read says that nuts are great for you.
