Absolutely! Take Pennsylvania for example. Philadelphia would become a self cleaning oven. Not that it isn't near that now. Only Philly and Pittsburgh would be in play, but Pittsburgh for a short while before they eliminated the Tejeks in town. The entire scenario is ridiculous.

The Federal government, as it is, offers far greater personal protections to US citizens than would the states alone.

Just an example. California would be worse.

It would be exciting, but very messy. lol
