Kerry lost because of Kerry not his wife. Promising everything to everyone with only the rich paying the bill didn't fool most voters. I was amused at the demos after the election who got it all wrong. High turn out was to help him instead GW got more votes.

This should be a surprise lost though. Going back some 40 years when has a liberal from New England won the race for prez? This was a classic repeat of 1988. The Democratic Party needs to look at that people think in all those red states and nominate a mainstream conservative from the South. Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter both from the South. Time for them to wake up and smell the coffee.

Then there is always 2008 and Hillary. That should be a good one.
