Well, it's not easy feeling younger every day! OR, what a bunch of hype about the aging process American women in particular are being fed. Somehow it is supposed to be just funny and endearing when the men in our lives begin shedding brain cells like the hair on their heads. There's a man I admire at work, and he totally forgot where he was going while he was on his way there, and as he paused to get his bearings he said that's all right, as long as I can remember how to get home, and I thought that was so sweet and true.

Anyway, not such a sexy thing for women to turn into old Grandmas. No, not allowed! I was in Goodwill this morning looking at used cookbooks, and could not help but notice a book on the next shelf called something like Second Youth, the cover filled with women in their forties, fifties and sixties with pert young haircuts, glamorous clothing, and . . . slightly yellow teeth. All pretending they were much, much younger. Of course, that book was published before bleaching your teeth became ubiquitous.

We are just not permitted to grow old gracefully. Do you have any words of wisdom on this subject, Rambi?
