I've heard others say the same thing. The Dems have gone too far to the right and lost their base. However, there are some practical issues that are just as important:

- Voter fraud and the inability to have votes count. Just 50,000 votes (not voters as I believe there is rampant fraud and all to Bush's advantage) in Ohio would have made the difference. That's no mandate and no reason for hand-wringing but a reason to nail the voting system itself.

- Corporate right-wing media. It's the propaganda. Bush receives support from the rural red states where his policies do nothing but hurt his supporters. It's the propaganda. Bush's corruption, the real story in Iraq, the stunning deficit numbers...how much play did these things get in the corporate media vs Kerry's windsurfing?

We must fix these things or all the campaigning in the world won't help.
