If the shoe was on the other foot -- if, say, Russert explained that Clinton appealed to voters who liked his pompadour and his oily, shmoozy charm -- or that Kerry appealed to voters who liked his height and his well cut suits -- well, Russert would never actually stoop to that, so it's hard to imagine.
