David, They seem to think their candidate wasn't liberal enough. The arrogance of the Maher position was palpable -- blaming it on the "Evangelical Right".

I knew liberals would blame their losses on the notion that they weren't liberal enough. Hence the reason I bought into the "Hillary conspiracy theory." ;-)

What I didn't anticipate, however, was how bitter the left would be at "Jesusland." It's going to be interesting to see how this bitterness plays out.

Good luck. What you say sounds good but just as I had predicted that the war in Iraq would become the quagmire that it has and that Sr. Bush was right when he advised not doing it... that we as a nation are going bankrupt and the huge deficit that Bush has incurred is taking us there.. Bush's agenda as you state is another dream world.

So the Left needs to get over it. I feel certain Bush will be taking the gloves off. In the first term, he was trying to deal with the liberals (like kissing up to Kennedy with the Education Bill). I don't see that happening. I believe Bush will narrowly define a domestic agenda and make it happen. And I think he'll end the war in Iraq and leave Iraq in reasonably good condition. If he can get a token liberal cabinet member, fine. But this will be Bush's agenda.

I am praying he does. Bring it on!
