I think Europeans, as well as Japan, may have more interest in keep the US dollar higher than Chinese, and that is why Japan bought so much US$ debt in the last 12 months. Although I am not sure how much EU bought.

Last time I heard ME oil, which is the largest suppliers up till now for China, still takes only US$. And some people even speculated that one reason for this 2nd Iraqi war was because Saddam wanted to sell oil for Euro instead of US dollar.

But I agree with you that China is being exploited by the US and Greenspan/green papers, and big US corporations as well as other multinational corporations. Hopefully, they can figure out a way to safely revalue Yuan.
