Hi Chris, Thanks for posting the Moyer's lecture. I agree with him 100%. He's one of the best we've got. Too bad he's retiring from the NOW program on PBS. When I think about what really motivates me politically, the ideals of the progressive movement seem to me to be the high point of the American political experience. The essential thing about progressivism is that it always sprang from the community and was only begrudgingly accepted by the political class. Those millions in America who today hope for their new messiah George Bush to lead them to the Promised Land seem to have a screw loose. Life don't work that way. Never has and never will.
