How would this double-taxation problem be addressed?

I've been looking for an answer to that question for a long time. The question seems is apparently being ignored. I think it's a fatal problem unless we phase it in over several decades. Which would be way too much of a hassle. Anyone who wants a national sales tax would have to demonstrate that a sales tax is sufficiently preferable to an income tax to be worth it. I don't think that's possible. If we were starting a country from scratch, maybe a sales tax would be better. But we're not.
